Barbell rows
Is it truly the superior back movement.
yeah but you posted the most garbage variant you could ever do
only fucking retards do bent over rows when there are dozens of vastly superior variants
Rows are just an accessory for weighted chinups.

I hate how much the bent over row stress the lower back too, but this is retarded. Just do barbell pendlay and dumbbell kroc rows off of the back of an inclined bench. Or seated cable rows. Chest supported rows are one of the few machines I like, although not every version I've tried was good.

Every faggot ITT that doesn't like these is gay as fuck and dumb. Do these in the smith machine just like the picture shows. Set the stops so it bottoms out while you are still standing like in the OPs Pic. Lower back is fine if you just brace. Athleen X has a video on how to do them. You can go insanely heavy and there are zero lower back concerns.

Everyone who does BB rows seems to fall into two categories:
>Weight is too low, the bar moves at a 30 degree angle to gravity and the guy's grip/biceps/lowback/whatever give out first
>Weight is too high, guy's torso moves up and down, more than the bar, needs 5+ mins between sets bc the low back is dead.
If you stubborn retards ABSOLUTELY have to do this dogshit variation, push your ass against the wall or a squat rack to add more stability.
Or just literally do any chest supported variation.

If you can't do leg supported rows you're extremely unathletic. It's excusable up until a certain point. For example you obviously you don't have to do olympic lifts. And it's okay to do simpler variants of the squat. But chest supported rows? Come the fuck on.

You’re responding to the wrong image. Pendlay rows are easier for on your lower back than bent over because you rest the bar on the ground.
