Dumbbell Lateral Raises with upright posture or slightly bend forward?
I see both versions on YouTube and am not sure which is the right one.

Come on, does no here do lateral raises?

just do them straight. bent is a smoother motion but also easier.
doesnt really matter either way

who cares? do you think that in 2 years this will make any change in the outcome at all? why don't you get strong and stop being gay?

I actually felt like doing them straight was easier, so I'll keep doing them like that.

Isn't shitty form the number one thing that screws over gains? But whatever I'll just keep doing them upright.

if u don't want any side delt that's FINE :D

and if u want mostly traps out of it don't worry about scapula positioning at all, sleepy sleepy serratus and zero lat spread is what plants crave :D just remember that shoulder pain is NOT delt experiencing "muscle failure" it's ur dumb arse meticulously damaging soft bits in shoulder

>what about u ?
i just hold isometric at the top of the motion - bent over, protracted shoulders and lats flared with scaps all the way down and out, of course bend over humerus in scapular plane & some angle in elbow also

>oh look it's van dam presenting long head of biceps
i can pull this pose and i am NOT far off despite never using roids lol :D
>>76586013
>and biceps can't be worked with curls cause u're stabilizing humerus staying vertical the other way around with deltoid which pinches long head at shoulder tendon which will fuck up entire biceps but long especially, pinched muscle can't hold contraction - presented by van dam here is properly developed long head of biceps
so u need to lock humerus in place to allow relaxed delt - sit on bench and lean on elbow/forearm with dumbbell in hand, supinate and flex biceps - now it can work and it will grow

To hit the side delts best when standing, you want to internally rotate your shoulder a bit: thumb towards the ground, "pouring the pitcher," etc. Some people say internally rotating the shoulder will fuck it up, so instead you can bend over, externally rotate, and still hit the side delts good.

how i read it bot:
>To hit the side delts best when standing
so bend over
>you want to internally rotate your shoulder a bit: thumb towards the ground
u want your scapula down and out so no internal shoulder rotation but lat spread
>so instead you can bend over, externally rotate, and still hit the side delts good.
keep shoulders neutral and active serratus - scapulae down and out, think lat spread

thx for confirmation bot :D
