Looking at the 5x5 stuff in the sticky, is there a set of starting weights for noodle-armed beginners who have lived like lazy blobs for decades?
Should I feel burning shame if I can't keep bumping up the weight weekly?
Can I just add reps if I'm using dumbbells that only go up to 40 pounds?
I don't have access to a barbell at all, just one of those all-in-one machines and dumbbells
My goal is to be less of a blob, not to become Mister Universe.

You just deload and do higher reps before your next attempt. Also SL 5x5 is kind of shit.
