If i'm doing heavy sets of squats, how on earth should i keep rests around 90 seconds? That seems impossible thing to do. Even if i was physically capable to squats with shorter rests i still couldn't do them. I seem to avoid doing them mentally. Sometimes i wait 5 minutes+ before i begin to do next reps

Squat is a mentally tough execise

Take as long as you need. Don't force yourself, you know your body.
Just try to go near failure

i noticed much better progression at 2 minute rests even at lighter lifts

Yeah, i'm not able to do that. For me it's completely a mental thing though.

I meant i can't do 2 minute or 90 second rests. I've heard that 90 seconds rest between the set is optimal. I usually rest 5 minutes or longer between sets.

if you're doing every set to or very close to failure that's a completely normal reaction
