This is a good argument for the elite level but your average normie cyclist is also an extreme dyel. Cardio doesn't just swallow your muscles up like a black hole

>Most of them just claim to lift weights, but they don't really
>The ones who do, do it badly
>They generally aren't eating enough protein
>Many of them aren't eating enough in general, because cardio burns huge amounts of calories
>Fasted cardio (incl. insufficient mid-run carbs) causes muscular catabolism

Being DYEL is a healthy and normal form for active humans
Just because you need to get big to affirm your masculinity doesn't mean that everyone has to do that

Someone being lean looks good, not shit, unless you have an unnatural perspective on body image from browsing /fit/ too much

Too much cardio does kill your gains, especially long distance running and cycling (swimming easy strokes like front crawl to some extent), since you burn off muscle mass when going distances that humans aren't meant to go.
If you want actual muscle gains from cycling, get a heavy steel mountain bike and do HIIT sessions (including steep hill sprints) on high gear.
There's no better feeling than riding shirtless on my 20 year old beaten up mountain bike in the summertime, getting those D gains, all while mogging plastic helmet wearing, noodle-armed skellies in tight womens clothing.

more muscles are just a hindrance when you have to do 200km+ day after day. Speed cyclist are yoked but they have disproportionatelly big legs because that's where they need the most power

I did exactly this and almost died at the top of the mountain and was spitting blood from mouth.

Based mountainbike chad
Extended cardio is incredibly gay, put some fucking effort into your exercise and then you won't look like a dyel junkie

Speaking of junkies, cardiofags always chase the runners high isn't that curious?
I don't know what that is because I train hard as fuck until I can't anymore

Because in competetive cycling power/weight ratio is king. You dont need much muscle mass to push watts for hours.
