How long does it take your body to get acclimated to moving again after a life of being a couch potato? I'm 60 pounds overweight and tried cycling for the first time in a decade, thought I was going to die after 10 minutes/going up one slight hill

It doesnt matter because you'll never put in the work. If you really wanted it, you'd already be lifting and not worried about some arbitrary timeline.
If someone does tell you a timeframe you find acceptable, you'll go the gym then quit in a few months when you see no progress and then go back to making "how to achieve" threads with a pic of Gooky the anime character waiting for someone to "redpill" you on how to get jacked without doing anything. loser

it rly doesnt matter, it compounds very quickly and you dont even need to push yourself into the "im dying" zone... if you just started walking, then walked bit faster and distance, then did some very light jogging few times during walk (in the speed of walking) - you could compound it to the point where you go running and feel normal... the point is its forever, its not "im pushing myself now and then ill stop"...

It will get easier after a week or two if you keep going.
Im overweight but im consistent with biking as cardio and i can regularly crank out 15-20 miles.

cool video
does the answer to your question even matter to you?
you felt terrible because you've degenerated in your idleness. Stop being idle and you'll almost miss when it was so easy to feel like you were working really hard.

Honestly you can get in shape in like six months if you stick to it. You won't have the conditioning or leanness of a top athlete but your cardiovascular fitness will be good enough that you can do intense aerobic activity without getting winded.

Two weeks will get you to the average person's ability.
In two months of consistent daily training you will have surpassed the average person and you will be at a point where shit starts to hit the ceiling and you improve by small increments but become competitive day by day.
In about a year you can be 80% close to elite level athletes, the difference being optimization and your genetics.
Seeing those changes and later the value of a correctly structured training and recovery plan is the exciting part, especially when you start off as a slob that could not do it for 10 minutes without feeling like dying.

Rule of 3s anon, 3 days for you to shed that unbearable burning sensation, 3 weeks for you to get used to exercise, 3 months for you to notice results, 3 years for you to be a new person.

That is if you maintain regularly activity every week.

It isn't even the first time
A few years ago this woman on the left caused a gigantic pileup crash at the tour de france.
Then she tried to run away.

Week 1: This shit sucks.
Week 2: This shit isn't as bad as last week.
Week 3: I'm not as sore this week.
Week 4: This shit is actually not too bad.

4 weeks.

Cardio takes like 2mo if you go nuts to get enough of the way to diminishing gains, 1yr to be quite top tier. Sprinting is more like lifting.

She did not. She had minor injuries and lacerations. The latest update was that the man was placed in a coma and later paralysed from either the waist down or the neck down.

That update was in 2023 so he may have made progress since then
