nah, it's like squat vs leg press or machine hack squat.
the latter are better for pure hypertrophy because the lack of need for stabilization and coordination, the first teaches you stabilization and coordination which in turn enables you to apply that strength much more effectively in a wider variety of situations.
if you are all show and no go, form over function, you'll never do a standing barbell strict press. if you are a gentleman and connoisseur, you do seated DB press and smith machine press to feed into bigger numbers for your standing barbell press.

For me OHP is a lift that you do to prove strength, not necessarily build it.

My problem with them is if you're already doing like 10+ sets of chest a week. your front delts are going to get huge.

its way too expensive in fatigue terms for the actual stimulus. mind the fatigue also effects your following exercises negatively

if you commit to it and give it the effort and focus it needs (you should be dedicating a day or two a week to it if you really want it to grow) then no, it will build big shoulders

this modern obsession with building tits over huge shoulders just doesn't make sense, and no, benching will NEVER grow your shoulders like heavy pressing will. OHP is a bad lift for almost everything. Even just to keep doing a vertical pressing movement, I prefer the push press.
A good reason to do strict presses would be to improve your snatch or your jerk, they're good for that.

If you want to save your shoulders a bit, you have to figure out how: either you change exercise like I did, or you do ohp but light, or you keep to a minimal number of sets. It's not like there are so many options.

I would yes but heavily contextual.
It's like front delts, rear delts and serratus. They will all grow to nearly their full extent without isolation because of how hard they get worked in a lot of other lifts... in most cases. In edge cases however they won't and will need isolation. How OHP fits into this is that there's very specific leverages and frames that need it. To do what's being left out and then isolating the medial delt so it keeps up with the front delt. But I would say for the majority of people that have Incline pushing and overhead pulling in their routine only medial delt needs extra work and maybe the rear delt if they have postural issues or imbalances between back and front. Work around your body mechanics nobody is a walking average.

i just like ohps thats all there is to it

Standing one, yes.
I was able to do 110 kg in a standing ohp, which just means I abused the shit out of the leg drive.
In the sitting one it was like 60 kg, it took forever to get to an 80 kg sitting ohp, also my knees are now way better because of it.
Sitting ohp is pure upper body strength, so way more impressive, you can't cheat up an ohp while sitting, there is no technique to push your number 20 to 30 kg higher than it actually is.
