Yes and no, it's extremely dirty and the pollution is nuts half the year (except in the south). Food is only cheap if you cook yourself. The streetfood while admittedly delicious is full of toxic shit. Most people don't wash their hands and there's residual pesticides in everything. The oil they use is revolting. Eating at a decent restaurant is similar to western prices now but there still no guarantee that the kitchen is clean.
Some pros are that massages and housing are relatively cheap. However you won't be getting AC and your neighbors will be noisy. Also you better be ok with roaches and mosquitos whining in your ear all night. Another pro, lots of delicious fruit but just make sure to wash them well.
Thai girls are a lot fatter than they used to be, I'd say the majority are chubby which isn't a good look on asian girls. I've also never met a group of people that use their phones so much. It's common to see a Thai couple on a dinner date and both of them are just scrolling tiktok while eating then they just leave. If you're into hookers wrap it up because STDs are a big problem also HIV. No Thai will ever admit this too because it's shameful but just look it up if you don't believe me.
t. Lived there for 3 years, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Udon Thani. Now I live in Laos which I prefer a lot more.
