What's the actual reason behind updates making things worse?

Because the modern "consumer" "buys" stuff like this:
>pay $150 a month for service
>COMES WITH FREE PHONE!
>plz pay $200 for warranty
>plz gib full dox and dox of every one you know
>plz come back in 6 months to 're-new' this deal and hand us another $200 to "upgrade" to new device
Need to get you in the store for the last one. So the 'updates' artificially slow down the hardware and nuke the battery you can't remove/replace.

Then they throw it in the dump all while running shilling campaign about how they're 100% green and support saving the planet by using worse materials than they used last year.

The updates are not tested correctly, or they are intended to make one thing better but make another thing worse.

name 10 cases where this happened and it cant be explained by
>old model was unsustainable and devs wanted to find a way to make more money to stay afloat
or
>old model was insecure and caused tons of security issues for users
or
>old model was not helping integrate users into the entire ecosystem and was stifling growth and user feedback that's needed to make quality software without bugs and to stay relevant as a company

Developers are completely disconnected from end-users and make changes based on their views without any input from outside their small little world. And no I’m not talking about Mr. Use Case, although he is one of the more obvious symptoms of the problem.
