1) they dont chase around, but more like merely bump into a compatible organism by chance
2) immune systems can be trained to detect and eradicate viruses, sometimes. in case of HIV, the virus has a tendency to mutate its defining features so often that antibodies you (would) induce with a vaccine become pointless

because viruses are just particles. they're not alive. maybe you could design something that clusters them up and makes them inert, but you don't need crispr for that.
