does nothing differently. it's just a bootleg of android/linux.

It is a whole new kernel developed from scratch, with a micro kernel architecture.
When was the last time you saw a new kernel being developed and widely deployed?
In 1991 when Linux got announced? In 1988 when the first Windows NT kernel released?
First they had a compatibility layer to also run linux. And they dropped that years ago. Nowadays they only support native Harmony OS applications.
It's the first actually new, widely deployed, operating system of the past 30 years.
