Wasn’t there a study which found that 80% of Indian engineers can’t code? Companies only benefit because those workers will never leave them. US has gotten into absolutely negrofied employment system where employees progress more in their career by job hopping and employers no longer reward company loyalty. Not for American workers. Almost all H1-Bs are Indians and they bring their smelly culture and their poor English skills.

Where I work we use Python 3 but these Indians are constantly writing the shittiest Python 2 I've ever seen. They don't even use line breaks everything is all on one line. They don't bother to use string interpolation. The make no effort to make the code readable. Most scripts are simply copy and pasted with a handful of things modified because no one cares. Instead of following the flow of the script and letting the action happen in main() there's all kinds of shit thrown into the global scope. And no one has any consistency about anything.

And I don't care either. I'll never see an extra dime if there were efforts to modernize the codebase but their aren't. They paid for slop work so slop is what the fuck they'll get. I got reprimanded for performance but the fuckers failed to realize that I'm working on two separate teams, their stories have a tendency to go out of scope, and I've literally had to work on duplicate tickets because "oops" but somehow the blame is on me and not this dysfunctional organization.

And don't get me started on trying to have a technical conversation with someone who doesn't have a grasp of the English language. I had this one street shitter accuse me of being late to a meeting because he didn't realize what time my contract says I'm supposed to start and what timezone I'm in. Then the stupid fucker slanders me to my Indian boss and I'm forced to verbally put this fucker in his place along with a strongly worded letter to HR.

I can't imagine working in a company where the Indians are in management.

Fuck Fannie Mae. Fuck Indians in tech. I want my American bros back. I hope Trump lights a fire in ICE's asshole and the street shitters are sent packing. I think the companies should also face fines and penalties but I don't want them downsizing either.

There's no company loyalty because employers have NEVER given workers a fair share of profits. So you end up grinding and job hopping until you find a company that DOES value you. Going where you're treated best is the most capitalist move you can pull off.

Even if they weren't, plenty of americans looking for entry level jobs would happily work for minimum wage even in skilled positions, because its better than making nothing like many are now and they still get to build that sweet, precious experience on their resumes.

This is definitely part of it in some places, but it certainly wouldn't be enough to cause entire departments being replaced almost everywhere you look.

It's genuinely inexplicable. The only other factor I can imagine is that there's 100 foreign applications coming in for every domestic one, and so a random chance pick keeps going to the browns, but that doesn't seem like enough for the sheer scale of what we see either.

I can't imagine the average boomer manager having the mindset of "Mwahahaha! I'll be able to work these pathetic browns to the bone!".

Maybe "happy" was the wrong word, but after a straight year of applying, new grads will jump on just about anything that comes a'knocking. They'd take walmart if they got responses from them, and building experience in their field while earning the same pay is even better than that.
