it's a gradual issue that will start and end with the byproducts of AI usage

first major problem being deepfakes being impossible to detect to the average person - this will catalyze the inevitable digital ID/cryptographic verification that they need more of a concrete reason to implement on a large and totalitarian scale

the second problem that comes with this is now that everything is "verified" you now have deepfake propaganda being pushed through the media of which there is no alternative, the government can bypass the system so now the people will believe quite literally anything (just a more extreme version of what's going on now)
