On a good day, I can do 1.5 - 3 hours of focused work. After that, I am just doing small things like writing e-mails and trying to look busy.

How much focused work do you do on a regular work day? Be honest.

I took some prescription stimulant a while back and could work for 8 hours a day, but without the medication, there is not chance that I can even come close to that on a regular basis.

9-10h here. And I mean, solid fucking work through the day bar 30m for lunch.

But I'm getting paid $175/h and only working 2 days/week so it's alright.

I guess you then can get really good sleep / rest the other days? I think most people could not pull that off for 5 days a week.

Almost none. I make weed vapes (disty 510s) and joints. What is there to even focus on?

Employed and work, but the work is very basic.
And people are counting on you so you work.
My biggest problem was always working alone at home.

When at school or at work, I fucking work

No real work at all for 3 months already, just attend meetings and drag tasks around from time to time.
My previous team got disbanded, other people were assigned somewhere else but I was just forgotten and yet the company doesn't fire me for some reason.

2 possibly 4 hours. After that brain just stops working and I need to distract myself.

At the office ~7 hours, if I'm really zoned in and forget to take my lunch break I can do 8.
At home it's worse, I've gone 8-19 without break before.
I've got like anti-ADD. Once I'm focussed on something everything else disappears. I had to stop reading before sleep because a few times I would start a book and then read through the entire night finishing the whole thing by sunrise and completely fucking my sleep and next day.

And I still work less than my academic coworkers. Academia, not even once.

Yeah, the work really doesn't stop till it's done. Then it's doing nothing till the next project comes. It's why they fill the time with bullshit meetings and congresses.

Sounds about right. I mostly WFH so it's not like I need to look busy the rest of the time.
Everyone seems very impressed with what I do so idk

theres methods for that now?

no, i mean a dopamine detox like our patriarchs did, as described in the scriptures:
only work, and walks in nature as only entertainment.
ban vijio or music in the backgroud while you work for that duration
the aim is to habituate your brain to a lower state of "background" stimulation again

If humans can only do 4 hours of focused work per day maximum, why the fuck are we still sitting in the office for 8 hours per day? After you have done your focused work, you just slack off or do useless meetings, leading to bad habits and less productivity overall.

If they only need you 2 days a week it must not be very hard, let me guess you just check other people's work and point out mistakes but don't actually fix them yourself?

1.49 - 2.99 hours, top.

Once in a blue moon, I'll manage to do it for 8hours straight. But it's the exception, not the rule.
