Ironically, despite what internet neckbeards claim, modern smartphones are durable as fuck.

We are at a point where, even on a budget Android device, it's basically impossible to scratch the screen by accident. Dropping it will cause some bumps and scratches on the outside if you don't use a case, but it's purely an aesthetic issue. Been using my current phone wihout a case for over 4 years and not an issue so far.

I used to see normalfags with cracked screens around all the time, but they have gotten rarer and rarer.

Phones are very durable, but morons will use a phone without a case and then drop it and cry about how scratched up and dinged it looks. A case prevents scratches and will protect the screen for those unfortunate drops that can crack the screen.

The fact that modern phones might survive a drop if you are lucky doesn't mean they are durable.
I had pic related and it was nearly indestructible.
Even the "ultra super duper durable" smartphones break way too easily.
I have to buy a new smartphone every 6 months because they break.
I could use the Nokia brick for a decade and it would just keep going.

I broke my new Jewgle Pixel because I sat on a chair and it fell out of my pocket.
I'm not going to start thinking about "what if I break muh phone" all the time. That's annoying.

Why is modern technology so obsessed with making thin devices? They're not any more easy to care because of their huge screens, which drains more battery. The same battery you had to cut down in size to make the thing thinner. They're not even lighter than the older stuff. What's the point?

Just fucking bring back top and bottom bezels, they were much better for typing anyway as it kept your thumb positioned more naturally.
