Tim needs to cease being a cuck and develop macOS for x86 too. I am currently running Sequoia on my AMD 6800 and 5600X Hackintosh, and I thoroughly enjoy it, unix that just werks.

Now this is what I'm talking about. Can't wait to see how good the M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra's ray tracing performance is.

If you genuinely care about gaming, consider purchasing a PlayStation 5, Xbox One, or Nintendo.

As usual, severely overpriced for what it worth.
Can't run windows and can't run linux too.
Its a toy cpu for toy pc.

>single core performance
Are appletards this retarded? This isn't the 90's were the os and applications only use a single core, even internet browsers spawn countless thread making the multi core bench a more real no world test, hell even macs are a multimedia editing powerhouse that need all the cores while encoding

Valve needs to work with Apple instead of AMD; a low-wattage RTX 5070-tier GPU in 2 years is what the Steam Deck needs.

>>106942312
Most programmers suck at parallelism; some tasks like multiple browser tabs can be easily parallelized, sure, and tasks that are inherently a bunch of separate tasks (like software compilation) benefit well from many cores, but the bulk of things still benefit more from single core performance than core count.

Guys is an m3 MacBook Pro with 18gb of ram just not enough for RuneScape 3? I still get frame drops in player hubs. Like 5 fps which is absurd...I think this might the universe telling me to just play OSRS instead lmao.

>muh pro software
>muh lonix
let's start with basic shit, like supporting third party peripherals out of the box. I shouldn't need third party software (some of it is paid for fuck's sake) just to have mouse buttons and a scroll wheel work correctly on a logitech mouse. Let's not even talk about enterprise-wide deployment and maintenance - it's unusable for any real work. Again I absolutely love the hardware, and actually bought an M1 mini when they came out that still runs well today, and I'm blown away by the current year's specs. But every year or two when I want to take another look at the mac ecosystem I'm reminded of how much of a closed off shitshow it is.
