Isn't ETH like the worst network to do dapps? The only real project currently doing something that even can be considered an application is that nigger spamming that altchan alternative on /g/, but I don't see anyone using it when gas alone costs like $3. Do you really want to spend $3 to post on a dead chan?

A) Every crypto-based game has been dog shit and eventually dies out. If you make a game with the incentive to play to "earn" it's native crypto, people will treat it like a money farming simulator rather than a game. However a NFT based license is unique, dunno anyone would make that though.
B) Every normie that has "gotten into crypto" has been burned by memecoins. With point A combined with this thinking of crypto is a scam, do you really think any game company would take the risk of advertising "Hey we're making a game where you need to buy an NFT to access it" and have the public shit on them; AND have their reputation forever ruined by touching anything crypto related?
Besides everything I said, I do see a future (not on ETH) where a dapp needs a NFT to access (say a private forum).
