Schedulers tell a diffusion denoiser what part of the process it's at. Similar to the time of day. This schedule of 1000 parts is broken into how ever many steps you're doing. If you did 3 steps (not possible, need more) it would be like breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Simple keeps it simple, and normal is close. The rest of them shift the times for each meal closer to and/or further from the extreme ends of the (day's) schedule in various deterministic ways that can align better with the schedule the model was trained at.

Always use simple unless the model/lora calls for something different.

2.2 is fine. there's more 2.1 loras though. There's a recent fix to the lightx2v lora on 2.2 that makes it animate better again. But yes 2.2 loras take longer to train because of the two models and also require a beefier setup. If you can run it without quants or too much sloppy speedup hacks it really shines. Try pair it with wan animate too
