Hello /gd/, I was looking for some ideas on my personal brand merchs and while I'm searching, I found this chinese kid's toy of "3D puzzle" which reminds me of my childhood on building houses from modeling kit where the "toy" foam itself requires no scissors as they're already precut but still in flat sheets before assembling it into 3D models where you can play house with. So my question are:
How do I use my plotter machine to precut the thicker cardstock/foam without actually cutting it through and what's the process called? Half-cut? Scoring?
I learned from my experience that I can't really print directly on the foam as the surface are too smooth for my inkjet printer. How should I go about this? Yes, I'm a small artist just make do in anicon and need to include that diy model kit from cardstock/foam as an add-ons on my printed doujin copies. :DD
