>>29169335things are not restoring themselves, and I'll explain why.
the birthrate crisis we are about to hit, full steam ahead, will be a cascade failure into such insane suffering, you and I can only imagine, but I have seen people mull over the effects.
we are at 1.5 here in America (and that's being generous), you need a birthrate of 2.1 kids per women to maintain, we are one of the better nations Birthrate wise, and its still atrocious, 1.5 (and every 0.1 below 1.8, getting worse for each one) is awful.
it will only speed up, we will likely hit 1.2 in the next 5 years, easily, South Korea and Japan are like 0.5 or so in actuality, which is fucking insane.
the fallout? well if you want someone to be 30 years old in 30 years, he has to be born today, you can't fix it, civilization will become immensely top heavy, the labor pool with shrink, everything that needs hands on deck will suffer, or be shut down in many many places, people will pool in city areas out of necessity, once the birth rate is below 0.9 in America, the decline will only steepen, and its such a drawn out process it actually exacerbates itself, the thing that can make a birthrate decline worse? a bad birthrate decline!
in 50 years Labor will be so valuable that people will be FORCED to work critical jobs, this is when societal breakdown will occur, we will be old fucks, but we will see the Children of Man nightmare land, we are not anywhere near "restoring" anything.
