I think the default is still MTL/autotranslate though. You still gotta get the translation files elsewhere for more coherent/proofread translations or script rips from the official EN version

Crashing on exit was always related to some bugged out plugin for me. I'd try removing the plugins first then slowly adding them back. Make sure you read and understand what each plugin does.

This is a fuckhuge mod repository of a quite a few autistic COM3D2 modders that open/lock their mods or just outright delete everything on a whim. They are working on com3d3, aka Custom Romance City 3D3. It feels like it has been in the pipeline forever (because it fucking has) but the com engine is just too old now and kiss should be happy enough they managed to squeeze juice out of the same game since 2011.

Today's com3d2 is fucking light-years ahead of the original in terms of content and just modern expected features (face customization etc in gp01), and the mod scene for it built up over all this relatively (barring bad updates) stable time is phenomenal .. but they will have to move on eventually.

I'm glad they're doing it because I really want some basic modern features (more dynamic lighting/shadows etc) at our disposal, and ideally just copy koikatsu's hair system because that is the big impediment to COM customization. That or have it like now but allow addition of an arbitrary number of extensions so you can customize much much more. If you are skilled in blender the hair limits don't matter but this is like needing to yourself become a pro painter yourself in order to get some art to put up in your house. I look forward to Kiss taking their future seriously basically because I dunno if they could revive like Illusion if they went kaput.

There is a specific type of leg part for that (it's a type of socks or ankles slot I think..) which is really like an extra leg-shaped skin colored attachment piece that slots into the shoes. I've never bothered to use those because I don't wanna have to fuck with my shader settings and custom tweak things to get them to actually look like they are part of the legs.

There are some shoes which basically look like high heels or pumps but slot on the feet normally, and I mainly stick to those. It also may be possible to just manually rotate the shoes up to fit them using parts edit but it might not work for every shoe (open toe I would think wouldn't look right etc).

I do see some people get the legit high heels working and looking good but it may not work well for you like it went for me.

What's the latest on the new release

I have had COM3D2 in a 2TB SSD for a while but it's getting full and I have a 4TB HDD almost empty, so these 300 GB would come in handy... but would it run smooth in an HDD? In my older pc I used to have it in an hdd and I dont remember it running poorly, the game seems to run in anything the only problem is size, but its been a long time and I dont remember.
So, would it run just about the same in the HDD?

If you have the latest build of the game and CMI installed, then the game should be the fastest it can be.

I've only ever put COM3D2 in my HDD, and I've personally never had problems with it. But I imagine putting it on an HDD would damper its loading times a bit compared to an SSD.
For reference, my game is modded as fuck and takes about 1 minute for the game to boot up from a completely fresh PC startup.
Loading edit mode takes about 3-5 seconds. And scheduled event scenarios or karaoke/dances take about 5-10 seconds. But the rest of the game mechanics/screen transitions don't really have any noticeable delays.
Loading times aside, actual game performance is buttery smooth though. Even at the highest possible settings the game innately allows.

I don't know how fast the game loads on an SSD, but if you're the type of autists that pulls their hair out at the level of loading times I mentioned, then you're probably better off keeping it at your SSD.

Only distinction between Exclusive/Free maids is a few unique events to each type. Also, free maids earn more money since they extend their services to the bedroom. But money is kind of a nothingburger in this game.

Ironically, exclusive maids have more hard NTR events. But at the same time, they have more unique lovey dovey events. Free maids on the other hand have access to confesion Yotogi, whereas they report on the shenanigans they get up to with customers while you plow them.

The update makes the game faster and more stable, but not much graphical improvement.
If you play with CMI/plugins though, some of them may behave a bit weirdly. The folks are certainly working on them for compatibility with the newer update, but I'm not sure if they achieved full stability/compatibility yet.

Regardless, newer updates/DLCs will require the version update so you'll have to bite the bullet eventually. But if you still have a huge backlog of meido content to go through and aren't in a rush to try out the shiny new DLCs/updates they put out, there's no reason to immediately update.

"Mild" is hardly the word I'd use to describe Yuki or Rei either. They actually come off pretty strong and cold. They're pretty far off on the Kuu end of the Dere scale.

CM3D2 Kuudere is straight to the point, but not particularly talkative. Quiet, but not cold.
If Yuki and Rei's icyness is more your jam, then the Shukujo/Ladylike personality is a lot more cold and standoffish before you melt her down.
And if you want the "Quiet and Mild" aspect a lot more, then the Bookworm personality is closer to what you're looking for.

Their titles aren't exactly indicative of their exact characterizations. So here's a writeup for the EN (using their EN names as well) released ones so far to get a better grasp of what type of characters they are.

Majime
- Tryhard Spaghetti Spilling Girl. Secretly a huge pervert and Otaku.
Rindere
- Responsible Ikemen Prince type girl. Literally better than everyone at most things. A tad insecure about her (lack of) femininity.
