Surugaya is a great source for out-of-print doujins... Had a hunch something was up when I was checking on the stock of future purchases and kept getting an error message.

It's by far the best way of getting older stuff.
Sometimes an obscure item might not show up for months, but check back every day and you will be rewarded.

Mandarake has its good points, but it just ain't suruga-ya.
Hope they get this shit sorted out, no way they aren't losing lots of money on this too.

Everyone should make a crypto wallet. You don't even have to invest in crypto, just make a fucking wallet and load it with like $50 of USDC or something. These Japanese sites will follow DLSite's footsteps if they know foreigners just have access to crypto to bypass these dumbasses.

Huge reason crypto got shat on so hard in the first place was because of these banks funding smear campaigns. It worked, because BTC just hit all time high (again) and people STILL seethe over it. But even if you didn't care to invest in the tech, it's still just tech at the end of the day. Use it exclusively for stables and it's inherently cheaper and faster than PayPal/Visa/Mastercard at the bare minimum.

Thank god it's back. Credit Cards are however banned now (even JCB) but I heard that google pay if linked to a credit card currently still works (I wonder how long......) . Better use a proxy service if you want to get rare used items from there from now on.
