I'd specifically get a professional or semi pro Mini DV camera off ebay, won't cost too much. Make sure it comes with the power adapter and some good batteries.

Also make sure you get a boom with a shotgun or condenser microphone and a digital recorder with decent mic preamps. You want the audio to sound good, after all, it's 50% of a movie, yes, even a porn movie. You may be able to get away with some cheaper flood lights for lighting.
