Americans had much more protein in their diets so they were physically larger. If you watch videos of U.S. and Soviet troops interacting on the Elbe, on the Soviet side there would be some tough-looking guys with giant mustaches but also a lot of kids which gave them a third-world vibe. The Americans would be swaggering around and just be physically bigger. Also totally different personalities, the Americans would try to be very gregarious while the Russians were very demure (it's how they are), like "hey, nice medal there, kid! Hey, lemme see that submachine gun."

We tend to kick our feet out when we walk, are very aggressive in combat, and have had the best logistics of anyone for around a century now. But we also tend to be a bit disorganized and anarchic. Over on /k/, someone from an unnamed foreign military who trained with American troops described Americans as overcoming some of their disorganization with "retard strength" and "crackhead energy." There was one Native American (forget the name) who observed the white men spreading across the frontier as like a swarm of grasshoppers.
