Why did the nips get less brutal the more territory they took? Did the logistics stop them from being as brutal as they wanted?

Gunkichi Tanaka won.
He killed over 300 with a sword.
The other two only killed roughly 100

Those bodies were killed by the Chinese, not the Japanese

Japan wasn’t brutal, they were the most moral and disciplined. You’ve fallen for anti-Japanese propaganda

> have been seeing this pic for year as proof that japs knew that their miilitary was killing a million chink civilians a day
> let it translate via AI
> it just says "kills" - nothing about execution and nothing about civilains
> hm ok ... maybe it's just poorly translated
> google the whole thing
> > The original accounts printed in the newspaper described the killings as hand-to-hand combat
> > BUT historians™ have suggested that they were most likely a part of Japanese mass killings of Chinese
REALLY makes one think

The word used here 斬り (kiri) written with this particular kanji implies killing or harming with a weapon such as with a sword. There isn't much room for ambiguity if you can read Japanese but I imagine the machine translation isn't that exact.

It's amazing to think that Japan used to be a menacing empire, and not just a small island littered with automotive assembly plants.

You're talking to someone who is illiterate on 4chan, someone who probably knows nothing about the Japanese language. Even if the newspaper is fabricated, that doesn't mean that the Japanese did not commit atrocities in China. Especially along, they're marched to the capital nanjing. It's the same argument that's used by historical negationists, when they show photos of an execution happening in the holocaust, and they nitpick the uniform and the weapon they're using as evidence that it's a hoax, or it's fabricated, that proves nothing.

i already said that
>> maybe it's just poorly translated

thats why I pointed out that I googled it and there were sources that state:
>> The original accounts printed in the newspaper described the killings as hand-to-hand combat

also to Japs the Sword was just a regular weapon, AFAIK it was standard issue to every Officer and its part of the reason why they didn't show a particular huge interest in developing SMGs
so the fact that they were boasting about sword kills doesn't automatically mean it was about executions

So are you denying that they did not execute any civilian or POW in China with swords even though ample of evidence shows it happening? Photos or not, evidence from Japanese war veterans to historians and eyewitness accounts Japanese war crimes happening on a fairly regular basis.

Maybe it was a good translation? It's not like a million different AI slop translations would have given the details on that or that you would have been able to tell anyway.
Anonymous No.17925117 [Report]
>>17925095
the point was that even if we assume that the AI translation was trash that there are still other sources that state that it was talking about hand-to-hand combat

Nakin is inflated and exagerrated, like virtually every other massacre
Victimhood culture has gotten out of hands

Why would the KMT feel such a necessity to blow up the yellow river dikes if what happened to Nanjing was all sunshine and roses?
