Funny how this name Flavius became so popular between Roman emperors and kings after Rome became Christian. Even Clovis I' name was Flavius Chlodovechus. We have Flavius Belisarius, Flavius Odoacer, Flavius Zeno, Flavius Constantine, etc.

We have authors like Abelard Reuchlin, Henry H Davis, and Joseph Atwill who say that the gospels were written by the court of Flavius Vespasianus as a satire of the Jewish War.

Henry H Davis goes further and says that Vespasianus was the grandson of Herodes Pollio (Vespasio Pollio), son of the Maccabean prince Aristobulus IV.

Flavius means "the yellow one". It probably refers to someone who either has blond hair, jaundice, or excess bile.
