If you actually study the life and ministry of Jesus, rather than those who theologically spun the meaning of his existence, it is difficult to understand why white people feel such an affinity towards him. Jesus was a radical jew, who believed that salvation only came from the jews (Jn 4:22), told his disciples to only visit jews (Mt 10:5–6), and compared goyim to dogs (Mt 15:26). Instead, Jesus has morphed into whatever people need him to be, in this case some freeloving hippy imaginary friend or some antisemitic white savior.

He had to be "real enough" to suffer and die on the cross, but who he "acktchually" was entirely unknown in His own time, it seems. Jesus' core problem with the inhabitants of Judea was that they were jews in name & simultaneously persecuted those that claimed to have sympathies towards the other tribes of Israel, but also that they rejected any part of their own history that didn't align with themselves in the present.
Jesus' lineage was the exiled BUT known lineage of David, which the pharisees in their anti-egyptian sentiments tried to erase and turn into a warmongering carrot on a stick prophecy as opposed to a real and contemporaneous lineage that never disappeared.
