Islamic Civilization is much closer to the Greco-Roman Classical Civilization than the West is. They had the same economic system based around slavery and they're also gay pedophiles.

Something I’ve wondered is whether there is a connection between Greco-Roman togas and traditional Islamic robes. They look very similar

I could easily see a Roman noblewoman wearing this. There has to be some shared history here

Rome (including Greece here) was spiritually broken into two as it was physically, a good and an evil side.
The west inherited Romes good, constructive side, the laws, architecture, engineering, republican politics, philosophy and military ingenuity.
The east inherited Romes evil, destructive side, the imperial despotism, the religious dogmatism, the slavery, the demeaning of women, the systematic abuse of young boys, the genocidal, bloodthirsty militarism.
The middle east is Europes evil, envious brother. Cain and Abel.
