Basically what I'm thinking is that, if there was such massive societal upheaval in germany by the end of the war as to have large masses of the population starving in mass camps with shaved heads and matching uniforms, why didn't it multilaterally effect the various races of germany? The polish army was sizable and the polish leadership were dangerous. They refused so many peace offers and ignored the Reich. So taking out Poland ie Warsaw was necessary. Soviets just wanted the land so weren't offering peace terms.

The main problem polish nationhood had was sea access. Hitler thought they didn't actually need that but was willing to offer it anyway.

The most troubling time for the UK and the poles was when Hitler offered the very most reasonable terms anyone could offer. They ignored it completely and continued killing germans.
