I mean what were the allies thinking? First France gets bamboozled by the germans going around them for the SECOND time. Then the Brits have their best troops and all of their equipment captured at Dunkirk. The brits had fucking pikes when the Germans invaded. Is it possible the allies could've won the war somehow? I don't think so, these allieboos fantasies basically rely on miracles to work.

It's honestly quite baffling how unprepared for war the allies were. They probably didn't think the Germans could rearm so quickly.

Anyway there's a certain charm to these british last ditch troops, even though they were practically useless. At the same time it's a bit sad the Brits didn't just peace out after Dunkirk, they threw these men against impossible odds. just to surrender after so many of them got slaughtered. Well at least they had the sense to do so after the Fall of London.
