A question for Theists:
Say God was real, but heaven wasn't, would you still respect and worship said God?

Are you going to answer the question?

The question itself is wrong, so it can't be answered. You need to realize we don't see God as just some guy who makes totally arbitrary decisions. God exists, so Heaven does as well.

There is nothing wrong with the question, God doesn't owe you an afterlife. It's a thought exercise to test one's faith and how they see the world because the promise of an afterlife shouldn't be the sole reason to worship or respect God and it just shows that the only reason you're religious is because you fear death and because you just treat life like it's a job and means to an end like this asshole; >>18140846

What do you think heaven means?

Heaven as in the afterlife.

You seem to fundamentally misunderstand that Heaven really means to be in communion with God. It's not really a place like it's represented in pop culture, but rather a state of being. Heaven and Hell are matters of whether you choose to be in communion with God, with the understanding that choosing God requires giving up certain things (ultimately you must put be willing to put Judas before yourself, as the first shall be last).

Now the nature of your question seems more to be addressing the simple understanding of Christianity that you have be worship God to go to the good place after you die. There are probably a fair number of people out there who do think that way.
