Then explain why jews hate Jesus so much that His holy name makes their skin crawl. He is the messiah. The jews that believed were killed or mixed into Europe. The only jews that are left today are apostate and as such promote demonic things like pornography, usury, LGBT, etc.

Protestants reinventing the way Christians have worshiped for 2,000 years never gets old.
>look I just opened Exodus and discovered commandment 2 like no one’s ever been aware of this
In that time people were making blood sacrifices to idols and literally worshipping the object itself. Venerating the subject of a depiction is different. Is a picture of your family a graven image? Is a guy kissing a picture of his kids blaspheming? Is flying your nation’s flag idolatry, or is it very obviously signaling allegiance to a thing bigger than the piece of fabric?
They also couldn’t make an image of God because how could they when no one has seen Him? To see God in your flesh is to die. But God became flesh and people saw Him, talked to Him, touched Him, and have depicted the God-man Jesus ever since.
A plain cross is simple geometric construction. It is abstract enough to be a corporate logo. But when you put Him on the cross, there’s no twisting what this is about. To see a crucifix is to see the story. Jesus Christ of Nazareth suffered and died to atone for our sins, rose from the dead, and is coming again. That’s the story a crucifix tells. A crucifix is the most powerful image because it demands a reaction to what it proclaims. I’m suspicious of anyone that hates the crucifix for that reason. The church has known all this forever, and no schism has suddenly found something new.
