Could it be that this is all one big metaphor for Saki's psyche? The moon is missing its sun, which is a frequent symbolism for depression or hopelessness. Also, the second skeleton she raised has a flower on its head — perhaps a stand-in for Saki herself? Why the second skeleton and not the first? Is it perhaps because Saki thinks of herself of being 2nd place, of being unworthy of being the so called "winner" or the one chosen first? If so then this might imply sexual/romantic undertones to the story. She stripped off her clothes the first chance she got, like she was used to being asked to do it... Or maybe she's already used to people only wanting that from her.
