Drawing "on the side" is a joke.

You have to want it. It has to be everything to you. The act of putting a pencil to paper; stylus to tablet; brush to canvas, must be more than an escape. It must be the sole, highest purpose of your existence. Anything less, and you are condemned to mediocrity.

Forget talent. When was the last time you saw an artist with a PhD, JD, MD, or even a STEM bachelors AND they still used their degree? Never. Because guess what? Anyone with a cushy six figure job, wife, kids, and home doesn't have a real "need" to be an artist. They're not "hungry."

There's a reason why all good sportsball players grow up in the ghetto/favela. The same is true for art.

I have a habit of drawing in low resolution because I mainly draw small doodles IRL. Whenever I draw on a large resolution I don’t get the same look as my low resolution work? How do I get around this? Is it just practice or should I get a different brush?

No, they're not magnets or infohashes; they're just plain old URLs that have been encoded. We're doing this to keep bots and scripts from recognizing them as URLs and harvesting/reporting them. I've aways found these chinese paintings (mainly still life paintings) quite peculiar. They seem to have a specific method for laying down strokes in certain directions, use those "himi gouache" boxes instead of oil paint and have a very specific approach in how they paint and teach. Is it really possible to reach this level in 6 months? It seems to me that you need at least a year of drawing practice to achieve this result, and he claims you can get there with 1 hour of drawing a day, 6 days a week. Am I retarded or is he simply lying to promote his course ?
