How do I get inspired? I always want to draw but I never have anything I want to draw. Feels like I never have any creativity to spare. Whenever I start to draw it feels like i'm just doing it for the sake of drawing and when I get beyond the basic head shape it's the lamest improvisation that leaves me incredibly dissatisfied

I don't think yoy can force inspiration. Either force yourself to draw until it becomes habit or go on a soul-searching journey or whatevs.

Every new thread I see is like this. These stupid howie threads.
Next I will see a thread " how do I hold a pencil?"
"How do I draw a line?"

Most of my artwork is gifts. Family birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Nobody really needs anything, and I feel silly buying trinkets for people. So I make something instead. Holidays like Christmas wind up being a lot of work. Maybe thinking what others may enjoy will give you some ideas.

how the fuck do artists draw incomplete lines and make it look good? My autism would not allow me to draw her shirt with broken up lines like that, I'd make them perfectly parallel and accurate to the form with consistent thickness.

read books or at least listen to audiobooks
being put in a position where you have to visualize action stimulates the imagination

Inspiration should come primarily from a desire to express something that's on your mind, something that's naggign you (just please don't waste your artistic efforts for political vignettes and the like, they're such a drain on talent)

inspiration and motivation are the excuses of people that will never make anything of value.

if you cant think a single thing that inspire you to draw, you will never enjoy drawing, u are an empty person with no passion and without that, you cant call yourself an artist

just ask your brain and take a break while it figures it out in the background
