Just copying won't get you too far. You need to analyze what you copy and have moments of realization. Do you know the general forms of their head/skull? Do you know at what point the antlers attach? Do they exit from the skull towards the back? straight up? towards the sides? How long are their legs compared to their torso? Is the lower leg as long as the upper leg or not? How big is their head compared to the body? Are the shoulders/hips at the same height, or do their backs generally droop down towards the back? Do they even have tails?
If you can't answer these questions right now without looking at a deer, all your drawings were a waste of time.
