Be honest anon
Do you get jealous of artists who manage to make a living from their work?

Insanely
I can't even get "real jobs" so seeing people make a living doodling makes my blood boil
If I can't succeed, no one else should be allowed to

Don't you have an entire thinly disguised "drama/community vendetta" thread to gossip in, you stupid bitch?

He's making a living from his storytelling as much as his art.

It's your attitude that keeps you from succeeding. You deserve it all.

A little, in that I wish I had more time to work on my own ideas and projects. But realistically I know most pro artists end up stuck making stuff for others, churning out lowest common denominator slop, or recycling whatever their big breakout hit was, all the while struggling with money because even the biggest creatives don't make that much.
I'm content with my easy fake office job where I just work on my art when WFH and get paid a decent stable wage. I just bought an apartment which none of my pro artist friends are ever going to achieve, so I'm not going to complain.

I don't and I'd love to find communities of artists that also didn't care. Every community I've been a part of was ruined by them

Nah. If I wanted to I could. But the PR aspect of art is a game. Which is somewhat separate from the art. You really should look at it that way.

Yes just like I get jealous of rich people that were born rich, never worked a day in their life and never will. I live in a street with 2 of those guys, one of them bought an expensive sports car at 18...

NTA but consumerism isn't the way to go
if anything, artists who are materialistic tend to be the most shallow creatives alive

I don't get jealous of artists who make a living or do well, I get jealous of artists who get obscenely wealthy from just farting out a pinup once a month, like sakimichan or khyleri, those guys make like $80k a month doing barely anything. at least cartoonists are branding, marketing, publishing etc not just shitting out a lazy comic once a month
