I think I was a new Cpl in the army trying to make a comic or something. Didn't work out and life was ultra gay. Ended up transitioning to layout work and got offered a couple jobs and learned that >the pay is garbage and like half what I made >it is literally more beneficial to sell your body to the government than it is to make 35k a year in a HCOL area.
Anyway I started trad painting recently and it is very difficult

Got a job at some stingy chinaman company. Got out about 2 years later with basically 100% raise. The audacity that the stingy old fart to counter offer that's still LESS than what I'd get from the new job. Anyway, got new job, much more interesting and frustrating, but I feel like I'm not doing the same old daily grind every day
Graduated Art University in a foreign country, ditched art as a career to secure a long-term work permit to make beer and occasionally do illustration in tandem with that for cash.
A simple life.

I'm 21 and I made 2 short comics, one of 30 pages and one of 5 pages. I did not publish any of them because they suck both in story and art

I bought a guitar and dusted off my wacom tablet. Unfortunately, trying to learn skills with my god-awful work-life balance isn't really sustainable. The only habit I managed to keep is brushing my teeth (not even flossing made the cut).
A few years ago I'd laughed at you for trying to make a thread that presupposes the existence of a sizable number of board regulars in their late 20s or older, but 4chan is declining so hard that every board is just full of bitter millennials who didn't leave when they had the chance.

I used to think it's mostly zoomers but maybe I've been misled because it seems like everyone is insane. I simply retire into my room and try to ignore the world around me, escape into the realm of paper and pencil because I will surely go insane myself otherwise.

i feel anyone who is still on the chans on their 30s onwards is a level of social and ideological fuckup large enough that it'd significantly worsen the website, the "golden era" (lol) of 4chan in its early days had it mainly populated by teens and people in their early 20s, like most online forums

My life up until 26 was just surviving. So I actually achieved a lot more than him, if fujimoto lived my life he'd have killed himself by 18

I was at my first wage cage, happily toiling away, about to enter a masters degree program
drawing wouldn't even come up as a passing interest for a few more years
