Most, if not all, of these tiny germanic languages are a meme unless you inted to live in their countries. They all speak fluent English and they've hardly got anything to read or watch in them. The only thing they've got going for them is that they're very easy to learn if you're already fluent in both English and German. I've heard of people here learning Dutch in a matter of months. Romance languages seem much more interesting and useful as a family than germanic ones desu.

You're completely right and I should listen to you, but I don't have full control over my autism and when I did erasmus in Norway I really liked the language. But I won't dabble in it again until after I'm fluent in German first, which probably won't happen for at least 9 years due to my lack of talent in languages and lack of ability to just focus on one at a time. I also remember reading somewhere that an American guy got really fluent in German, and when he tried to learn Swedish he picked it up in a couple of weeks. Idk where I read that though or if it is true.

I just wondered. Can you pronounce B, D, and G in Spanish the same way as in Italian? Do any natives do it?
>>211648527
>more interesting
Literally the most bland, familiar, and common language family ever. Most of the (non-white) world speaks them, and if you know English, you can already try (successfully) reading all other Romance languages, meanwhile German is not much easier for an English speaker to understand than Welsh or Polish.
>and useful
They're literally less useful than even meme languages like Swahili and Indonesian, because there's very little demand yet already millions of native speakers available. The only actual use I can put is for Spanish if you want to retire in a South American country, French and Italian etc. being completely useless.

Anyone knows if pic related helps for improving grammar for a non-native? i feel like these books are made for people in school and to help you with rhetoric or stuff.
I got my C1 Cert like a year ago and despite already going to uni (in german) my grammar is still dogshit.
Im beginning to feel like im mentally retarded but i cant find exercises or effective methods toward improving it.

You need to have full 100% comprehension of what it is that you’re writing. The point is then to force yourself really closely pore over the text and internalize the syntax by essentially what amounts to extremely focused and slow close reading.
