post modern architecture is ass
the entire DF is ass because things are just too far. to go into brasilia you have to go through ~5km of private neighborhoods. to go from an open neighborhood to another its like going from liechenstein to luxembourg or some shit like this

what's the point for all that grass and fountains there if it's inaccessible for people because it's separated by wide highways and junctions?

it looks good in photos from above but must feel rather repulsive on the ground level

but it's still not really attractive if you need to cross several highways and junctions to reach a fountain, it just puts people off
that's why in Europe wide roads are made narrower

All the country's bureaucracy and a zillion federal civil servants.
If one day you want to put an end to Brazil, just bomb Brasilia. The entire federal sphere is there.

Literally the entire federal machinery of the country.
They moved it away from the big cities to make mobilization more difficult. Basically an isolated island where every federal aspect takes place in Brazil and away from any major center so that there are no protests and things like that.

What was life there like? Pros and cons. I would imagine that it has to be rather safe and developed but probably isolated and without much fun stuff to do

>What was life there like?
Pretty standart for a Brazilian city.
>Pros
No traffic, lots of greenery, good quality of life, mild temperature all year around, poor people live faraway in surroundig cities.
>cons.
You can't live without a car, everything is faraway, it's extremely dry, too expensive specially rent.
>I would imagine that it has to be rather safe and developed
Spot on.
but probably isolated
It is isolated from other major cities except Goiรขnia.
>and without much fun stuff to do
