The creation of Israel caused the rise of left leaning Arab nationalism which caused the downfall of the monarchies of Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Yemen and maybe Tunisia. If Israel didn’t exist Libya and Iraq would still be monarchies and have a similar living standard to us. Egypt would also still be a monarchy but I’m not sure if they’ll be doing much better. Tunisia and Yemen are special cases that were less about Israel and more about cultural reforms, so they might still collapse.
