People unironically converse in languages other than English even when they know English. Why would you not want to speak the richest and most layered language in the world that is also the international language of science, commerce, diplomacy and popular culture?

I speak English when I'm by myself in public, I speak my native language with my relatives because It would be cringe otherwise

But the richest and most layered language is already my native one.

I think English is extremely complex and layered in rap lyrics and nothing in Spanish could come close to that but when it comes to everything else, nah
