Iranians have great pride in their pre-Islamic past and know they reached their golden ages before Arabs forced them to convert. Of course there's many devout Iranians, but there's also many who are secular and culturally Muslim and despise the regime, which is probably why Israel's landed so many precise hits on Iran's leadership as Mossad has thousands of assets.
