There is no cost of living crisis, or, at least there isn't one in this country. If you have any kind of job at all, it's very easy to live a decent life and to save money. I earn about $4,000 per month (close to the median), but I only spend about $1,500 in total, living in a 2 bedroom apartment. I'm saving up for a down payment on a house. I'm aiming for $75,000 down (15%) which should enable me to get buy a decent house before I turn 30.
