A girl I was taking to on facebook told me about how she snuck out of her parent’s house as a teen, met up with a guy who gave her drugs, and he “did things to her.” She became addicted to the drugs and is now “repented of her past.”

I was pretty disgusted by the entire story, but as a thought experiment, I imagined the genders in reverse, and I honestly wouldn’t be too disturbed (mostly indifferent) if a guy did what she did. Is this cultural conditioning? Do you view it differently depending on gender?

We used to think men and women were super different, then we overcompensated and said they're the same.
Men and women are different, just not as much as we thought.

why do they have to be reversed?
what if it was a guy who met up with another guy?
I think that scenario is still bad if not worse.

A woman selling herself to a man for drugs is not the same as the man selling himself to a woman for drugs. There is a difference in availability of sexual partners. You can see this difference in dating apps. Woman can pick and choose her partner, while man is lucky if 1 out of 20 women responds to him.
Unless you meant that man sells himself for drugs to another man. Then it's much worse.
