Most of the buildings erected under Holland's rule either had their facades stripped of their dutch characteristics, like those little squared tops by the ceiling's eave and the typical germanesque fascias, were entirely demolished, or never had them in the first place. The "intellectual elite" of the dutch occupation was mostly made of portuguese jews who had ran away to Holland to scape the portuguese inquisition, aswell as its many pogroms. Most of the buildings you see in that picture actually have their outside work dating back to the 1800's or even early 1900 (except of course for the obvious mid century cuckboxes).
