>I was having coffee with violinist Minori Deguchi after a long time, when a Parisian woman who sat next to us suddenly gestured at Deguchi-san to stop talking, as if to say, "Shut up." It wasn’t in French, but with a gesture as if to zip her mouth. In a split second, we both replied in French with "Mais Madame...", but she didn’t even glance us. She completely ignored us and was smiling as she ordered from the waiter. When working in glamorous places like music academies and concert halls, where I feel welcomed, I tend to forget the fact that I’m a minority. But moments like this serve as a painful reminder that there are still lines that cannot be crossed. I’ve lived as a non-white person in a white society for 19 years, and over time, the small traumas have accumulated. But it’s the first time I’ve witnessed such an overtly discriminatory attitude, and it’s left me feeling down. The reason? For some people, our "very existence" is an inconvenience. But because of this, I realize all the more how precious it is to have colleagues who believe in us as non-Western musicians and invite us to collaborate. I must cherish such people. Since I felt I can't enjoy the coffee anymore, I decided to buy only the beans and took them home.
>>211704336 (OP)Maybe you people should stop being such pussies.
I think it's your main problem at this point.
>>211704336 (OP)I would understand if this was in America or Britain, but why the fuck would anybody ever want to speak French? Such an ugly grunting language where you drop half the letters into the ether
>>211704836Why would I speak French in Paris if I want to fit in with the locals?
>There have been various speculations, so I'll add this:
>Did I act strangely in the store?
>When entering the store, just like the previous customer, I said "Bonjour" with a smile.
>When paying the bill, I said "Merci" and also left a tip.
>Even if I had been incredibly rude, it is unreasonable to justify being verbally abused or laughed at simply for walking down the street.
>>211704336 (OP)Why are the Japanese so sensitive to discrimination? I swear they get treated like this and act like they're living in 1970s America as a coloured person or something. There are assholes everywhere. I and pretty much everyone else encounters assholes that act like this every once in a while, but you wouldn't say they were racist in those cases; some people are just rude to other people. This isn't Japan where acting rudely towards strangers dishonors your entire bloodline. I'd have understood if she made it clear she had an issue with due to being non-white, but this is basically nothing.
>>211705258First good post of this thread.
>The place I had dreamed of since I was 5 years old, I never imagined it would be so full of discrimination. It made me sad and brought tears to my eyes.
>By the way, personally, Monaco > Cannes > Nice, in that order, was where I experienced the worst discrimination. Especially the attitude of the store staff was very blatant.
>However, not all French people were like that. There were a few kind people, though rare, who treated me normally and served me well.
>But through this experience, I truly realized just how amazing Yuki Tsunoda is for competing abroad, and I want to support him even more. Above all, I strongly hope he never gives up.
>And because of this, I felt that, beyond superficial beauty, inner beauty is far more important. That realization hit me hard during this trip. It really made me reflect on my values.
>France has beautiful cities, stunning beaches, and incredible food. But the interior, the people’s attitudes, were different. Right now in Japan, there's a lot of talk about lookism and the class divide, but it felt even worse abroad. I also started to wonder if discrimination is just part of human nature.
Isles Lioncourt are french, ok
>>211704890Yeah, you must be experiencing all of these
>>211705258 as a white.
>>211705451just don't come here then
westerners clearly hate you
>>211705307He says things like that and then goes back to a country where stores openly don't let in foreigners, people don't sit next to foreigners in trains and groups of natives leave/avoid being in the pool when someone darker gets in. It's almost India-tier in its denseness and shamlessness.
>>211704336 (OP)>White Parisian (it implies that she was white)>Racist against AsianLol. Maybe it's a true story but it's not about the Asian side. I'm pretty sure the reaction would be the same if they were white
>>211704336 (OP)>Small penis froggy French faggot momentAucune surprise. Les seuls étrangers bienvenus en France sont les juifs.
>>211705580>Les seuls étrangers bienvenus en France sont les juifs.Bien une phrase de bougnoule ça
>>211705744>didn't deny he loves Jews>thinks I'm the anti-Jew race>in short, prolly is a JewI love being norvdic white instead of some filthy French mulatto mixed genes mutt
>>211704336 (OP)I don't get it. Where is the racism ? It's just a rude bitch
every foreigner who comes here thinks they're being discriminated against but no, swedish people are like that to each other as well.
>>211705546You guys seem to love discussing the very few restaurants in Japan that refuse to serve customers who can't speak Japanese, but when will we see white tourists in Asia being subjected to insults like "f*ck pig" or the "big nose" gesture?
By the way, my mother was shoved hard by a white dude at Neuschwanstein Castle, but I'm sure there are people in my country who treat Germans the same way, huh?
>>211705867>didn't deny he loves JewsWhy would I? They kill your kind.
>I love being norvdic whiteYou are just some brown muslim scum until proven otherwise.
