Japan would be the #1 economy, I think political rivalry between the USA and USSR allowed them to thrive as a Cold War scenario would mean China is out of the world economy.

It would unironically be a safer place, America being the one superpower for 30 years with nobody to keep them in check has been a disaster for the legitimacy of internationalism, world peace, and the life of the average working class person here in the West.
