There are countries that are suitable for monarchy and countries that are not suitable for monarchy. I think Russia and Iran would have been more developed if they had maintained monarchy.

China is also suitable for a monarchy because of its large population... but unfortunately, the last dynasty is not han chinese...lol

MENA works better with real monarchies, when the ruling class is established there is peace and stability and some can still rise to the top as advisors, professors etc.
Nobility still has influence in Europe as well, they just don't talk about it.

In European monarchies the king/queen holds only ceremonial power and it's actually great for state visits in less developed countries, because a monarch will always be more prestigieus than a president or foreign affairs minister.
