There is no monolithic appearance to begin with. It is on the Strait of Gibraltar and north of the Sahel. Anything goes, besides the country itself is akin to a collection of smaller countries, but certain looks can be attributed to certain areas, so locals can tell where each person originates. A southerner has nothing to do with, say, a northerner, i would go so far as to say they are fundamentally different.

I've lived in this part of the world for more than a decade now and having interacted with Morrocan and Algerian migrants, I can quite easily differentiate them from the Iberians.
